This Chicken Parmesan Pasta recipe combines tender chicken, pasta, marinara sauce, and melted cheese in a simple, one-pot meal that's perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups cooked chicken (shredded or diced)
  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups water or chicken broth
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (shredded)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pot over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  • Stir in the marinara sauce and water (or chicken broth). Bring to a simmer.
  • Add the pasta, ensuring it is fully submerged in the liquid. Cook for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is al dente.
  • Stir in the cooked chicken, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  • Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top. Cover and let it cook until the cheese melts.
  • Garnish with fresh basil and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, use freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
  • You can use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
