    • ¾ cup brown sugar
    • ¼ cup granulated sugar
    • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. For the Cake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar together until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, and mix in vanilla.
  4. Alternate adding flour mixture and milk to the batter, starting and ending with flour. Divide batter into prepared pans.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let the cakes cool completely.
  6. For the Cookie Dough Filling: In a bowl, beat butter and sugars until creamy. Add vanilla and milk, then fold in flour and chocolate chips.
  7. For the Frosting: Beat butter until creamy, gradually add powdered sugar, then mix in vanilla and heavy cream until smooth.
  8. Assemble the Cake: Place the first cake layer on a serving plate. Spread a thick layer of cookie dough filling on top. Place the second cake layer and frost the entire cake with vanilla frosting.
  9. Garnish with cookie dough balls and a drizzle of melted chocolate.
