  • 1 lb beef (sirloin or flank steak), thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add beef slices and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Pour the teriyaki sauce over the beef and stir to coat.
  • Mix cornstarch with water and add to the pan, stirring until the sauce thickens.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.
  • Serve hot over rice or vegetables. Enjoy!
