  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 slices of bread (white or sourdough)
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese or 8 slices of cheese
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp paprika (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook ground beef and diced onions over medium heat until the beef is browned and cooked through. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute. Drain excess fat.
  2. Season the beef with salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and paprika, then stir to combine. Remove from heat.
  3. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  4. Place a slice of cheese or a handful of shredded cheese on the unbuttered side of four bread slices. Add a layer of the cooked beef mixture. Top with another slice of cheese and place the remaining bread slices on top, buttered side out.
  5. Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat. Grill the sandwiches for 2-3 minutes per side, until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  6. Slice and serve immediately.
