  • 1 bag (30 oz) frozen hashbrowns, thawed
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Cook ground beef until browned, then drain excess fat.
  • Add chopped onion to the skillet and sauté until softened.
  • In a large bowl, mix together thawed hashbrowns, sour cream, cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  • Stir in the cooked beef and onion mixture, and half of the shredded cheese.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch casserole dish.
  • Top with the remaining shredded cheese.
