  • 4 potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, add chopped onion, and cook until translucent.
  • In a baking dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, then top with half of the ground beef mixture.
  • Spread half of the cream of mushroom soup over the beef layer, then sprinkle with half of the cheese.
  • Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, beef, soup, and cheese.
  • Pour milk evenly over the casserole.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and potatoes are tender.
