  • 1 loaf ciabatta or baguette bread
  • 2 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers
  • 1/2 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup finely diced red onion
  • 1/2 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 6 slices salami
  • 6 slices mortadella or ham
  • 6 slices prosciutto
  • 3 tbsp Italian salad dressing
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice the ciabatta or baguette in half lengthwise and hollow out some of the bread from the center.
  2. In a bowl, mix romaine lettuce, tomatoes, pepperoncini, black olives, red onion, and shredded provolone cheese.
  3. Drizzle Italian salad dressing over the mixture, then toss to combine. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
  4. Layer the bottom half of the bread with salami, mortadella, and prosciutto.
  5. Spread the chopped salad mixture evenly over the deli meats.
  6. Top with the other half of the bread and press gently.
  7. Slice into individual portions and serve immediately or wrap tightly for later.
