The Rachel Sandwich is a tasty twist on the classic Reuben, made with tender turkey, Swiss cheese, creamy coleslaw, and tangy Russian dressing. Perfectly grilled between two slices of rye bread, this sandwich is the ultimate comfort food, ideal for lunch or dinner.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices rye bread
  • 2 oz sliced turkey
  • 2 slices Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup coleslaw
  • 1 tbsp Russian dressing
  • 1 tbsp butter

Instructions

  • Spread Russian dressing on one side of each slice of rye bread.
  • Layer turkey, Swiss cheese, and coleslaw on one slice of bread. Top with the second slice, dressing side down.
  • Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Grill the sandwich for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Slice in half and serve warm.

Notes

  • Substitute turkey with pastrami for a heartier flavor.
  • Use Thousand Island dressing if Russian dressing isn't available.
  • Add pickles on the side for extra crunch.
