Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
  • 1/3 cup sweet chili sauce (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or lime juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Green onions and sesame seeds (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (190°C).
  • In a small bowl, mix together sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar or lime juice, garlic, and ginger.
  • Pat the chicken thighs dry with a paper towel, then rub with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  • Place the chicken thighs in the air fryer basket, skin side down, and cook for 12 minutes.
  • Flip the thighs, brush generously with the sweet chili mixture, and cook for another 10-12 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  • Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes, then garnish with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.

Notes

  • To enhance the crispy skin, air fry for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  • You can substitute lime juice for a tangier flavor instead of vinegar.
  • Adjust the sweet chili sauce for more or less sweetness depending on your taste.
