  • 8 oz spaghetti or fettuccine
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain.
  2. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  3. Pour in heavy cream and stir. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add grated Parmesan cheese, stirring until fully melted and the sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Toss in the cooked pasta, and mix until evenly coated with the sauce. Use reserved pasta water to adjust the consistency, if needed.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired, and serve warm.
