Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked until crispy and crumbled
  • 1 package 12-count Hawaiian sweet rolls (e.g., King’s Hawaiian)
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese (or preferred cheese)
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing rolls)
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
  • 1/4 cup sliced dill pickles
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp mustard
  • Mayonnaise (optional, for spreading on rolls)

Instructions

  • Cook the Beef: In a skillet, cook the ground beef and chopped onion over medium heat until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain any excess fat. Season with garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
  • Assemble the Sliders: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Without separating the rolls, slice the Hawaiian sweet rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom half on a baking sheet. Spread the cooked beef mixture evenly over the rolls, followed by the crumbled bacon, cheese slices, pickles, ketchup, and mustard.
  • Bake: Place the top half of the rolls on top. Brush the tops with melted butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired. Cover loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake an additional 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tops are golden.
  • Serve: Slice into individual sliders and serve warm. Spread mayonnaise on the rolls if desired.

Notes

  • For a smoky flavor, add a few dashes of liquid smoke to the beef mixture.
  • Swap cheddar for American cheese for a classic taste.
