This beef quesadilla recipe features a delicious blend of seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, and crispy flour tortillas.   • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 8 large flour tortillas
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Sour cream, salsa, and guacamole for serving

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onions until browned. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in taco seasoning and a little water (as directed on seasoning packet). Simmer until thickened.
  3. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat and lightly brush with oil.
  4. Place a tortilla on the skillet, sprinkle half with cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese, and add a layer of seasoned beef.
  5. Fold the tortilla in half and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until the cheese is melted and the tortilla is golden brown.
  6. Repeat with remaining tortillas and beef mixture.
  7. Slice into wedges and serve with sour cream, salsa, and guacamole.

Notes

  • Add sautรฉed bell peppers or jalapeรฑos for extra flavor.
  • Try swapping ground beef with chicken or black beans for variety.
