  • 12 oz penne, ziti, or rigatoni
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and cubed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

For the Alfredo Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
  • 4 oz cream cheese (optional)
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Pinch of nutmeg (optional)

For the Bake:

  • 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • Fresh parsley or basil for garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook pasta according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Season chicken with salt and pepper, cook until golden and no longer pink inside. Cube and set aside.
  • In a large saucepan, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, and cream cheese (if using), whisking until smooth.
  • Add Italian seasoning and nutmeg. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  • Combine cooked pasta, chicken, and Alfredo sauce. Transfer to a greased baking dish and top with shredded mozzarella.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Garnish with parsley or basil and serve hot.

  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor.
  • For added flavor, toss in cooked broccoli or spinach before baking.
