Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook the fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes per side. Remove from skillet and let rest before slicing.
  • In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Pour in the heavy cream and add the butter. Stir until the butter is melted and the mixture is smooth.
  • Gradually add the Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until the cheese is melted and the sauce is creamy.
  • Add the cooked fettuccine to the skillet and toss to coat in the Alfredo sauce.
  • Slice the chicken and place it on top of the pasta. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can substitute half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
  • Add broccoli or spinach for extra vegetables.
  • Use freshly grated Parmesan for the best flavor and texture.
