This Chicken Marsala Casserole brings all the flavors of the classic Italian dish into a comforting baked meal. Ingredients

  • Chicken breasts (cubed)
  • Baby bella mushrooms
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Marsala wine
  • Chicken broth
  • Heavy cream
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Mozzarella cheese
  • Pasta (penne or rigatoni)
  • Olive oil
  • Butter
  • Salt & pepper
  • Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
  2. Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil and butter. Sautรฉ cubed chicken until browned, then remove from the skillet.
  4. In the same skillet, cook onions, garlic, and mushrooms until softened.
  5. Stir in Marsala wine, chicken broth, and heavy cream. Simmer for 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken.
  6. Mix the cooked pasta, chicken, and sauce together. Transfer to a greased casserole dish.
  7. Top with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve warm.

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in garlic and Italian seasoning before cooking.
  • Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for more vegetables.
  • You can substitute white wine for Marsala if desired.
