Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup red and green Christmas M&Ms
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined.
  • Gently fold in the Christmas M&Ms and chocolate chips (if using).
  • Scoop dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  • Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Remove and let cookies cool on the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  • Serve and enjoy!

Notes

  • Chill the dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
  • Add extra M&Ms on top before baking for a festive look.
