Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tub (8 oz) Cool Whip, thawed
  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling

Instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Mix until well combined.
  • Press the mixture evenly into the bottom of a 9x13-inch baking dish to form the crust. Refrigerate while preparing the filling.
  • In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and beat until well combined.
  • Fold in the Cool Whip until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  • Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the graham cracker crust.
  • Spoon the cherry pie filling evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the dessert to set.

Notes

  • For a firmer crust, bake the graham cracker crust at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes and then let it cool completely before adding the filling.
  • You can substitute homemade whipped cream for Cool Whip if preferred.
