  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups crispy fried onions
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook green beans in boiling water for 4-5 minutes until tender-crisp. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, garlic powder (if using), salt, and pepper.
  4. Add the cooked green beans and 1 cup of the crispy fried onions. Mix well.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  6. Bake uncovered for 25 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven, top with the remaining crispy fried onions (and shredded cheddar cheese if using).
  8. Bake for another 5-10 minutes until the onions are golden and crispy.
  9. Let the casserole rest for a few minutes before serving.
