  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/2 cup pasta water (as needed)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions; reserve ½ cup of pasta water before draining.
  • In a large skillet, cook chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside, leaving some bacon grease in the pan.
  • Add butter and minced garlic to the skillet, sautéing until fragrant.
  • Pour in heavy cream and milk, stirring to combine. Add Parmesan cheese, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Simmer until thickened.
  • Add cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat. If needed, add reserved pasta water for desired consistency.
