  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
  • Season pork chops with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Sear pork chops for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, sautรฉ onions and garlic until softened, about 3 minutes. Add chicken broth, heavy cream, Dijon mustard, and thyme. Stir well and bring to a simmer.
  • Return pork chops to the skillet, spooning some sauce over them. Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the pork reaches 145ยฐF.
  • Remove from oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving. Garnish with parsley if desired.

Notes

  • For a thicker sauce, reduce the cream sauce on the stovetop for a few more minutes after baking.
  • Bone-in pork chops are recommended for more flavor, but boneless can also be used.
  • Add mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor and texture.
