  • 4 cups low-sodium chicken broth

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup half-and-half or heavy cream
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
  • Optional: shredded cheese, sour cream, avocado slices, tortilla chips, jalapeรฑos

Instructions

  • Cook chicken: In a large pot, cook the chicken over medium heat until fully cooked, then shred or dice it.
  • Sautรฉ aromatics: In the same pot, sautรฉ the onion and garlic until softened.
  • Combine ingredients: Add the chicken back into the pot, along with beans, green chilies, chicken broth, and spices. Simmer for 15-20 minutes.
  • Add creaminess: Stir in the cream cheese until melted and smooth. Add half-and-half or heavy cream.
  • Finish: Stir in lime juice, garnish with cilantro, and serve with optional toppings.

Notes
