Ingredients:

For Crispy Chicken:

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs or breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 3-4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2-3 red chillies, chopped (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons chilli sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey or sugar
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or water
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (for slurry)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • In a bowl, combine cornstarch, all-purpose flour, baking powder, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
  • Dip the chicken pieces in beaten eggs, then coat with the flour mixture.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the chicken pieces until golden and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • In a separate pan, heat vegetable oil and sautรฉ the onions and bell peppers until soft.
  • Add garlic, red chillies, and ginger, cooking for an additional minute.
  • Stir in soy sauce, vinegar, tomato ketchup, chilli sauce, and honey or sugar.
