  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Season with salt and pepper. Drain excess fat.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the cream of mushroom soup and milk.
  4. In a greased 9x13-inch casserole dish, layer half of the sliced potatoes, followed by half of the cooked ground beef. Pour half of the soup mixture over the top.
  5. Repeat layers with remaining potatoes, ground beef, and soup mixture. Top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
  7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
