  • 3 cups cooked chicken (shredded or cubed)
  • 12 oz egg noodles
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup frozen peas and carrots (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional for topping)
  • 2 tbsp butter (melted, for topping)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Cook egg noodles according to package instructions and drain.
  • In a large bowl, mix chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, milk, shredded cheese, peas and carrots (if using), salt, and pepper.
  • Stir in cooked noodles until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
  • If using breadcrumbs, mix them with melted butter and sprinkle over the casserole.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the casserole is bubbling.
