French dip sliders are a savory and satisfying appetizer or dinner option. Layers of tender roast beef, gooey Swiss cheese, and buttery rolls are baked to perfection and served with a side of warm au jus for dipping. Perfect for game days, parties, or an easy weeknight meal!

  • 12 slider buns
  • 1 lb sliced deli roast beef
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese (halved)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise (optional)
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • 2 cups beef broth (for au jus)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce (for au jus)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (for au jus)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
  2. Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves in a greased baking dish.
  3. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom buns if desired.
  4. Layer the roast beef and Swiss cheese on top.
  5. Place the top buns back on.
  6. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and sesame seeds (if using).
  7. Brush the butter mixture over the buns.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove the foil and bake for another 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and buns are golden.
  10. For the au jus, heat beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder in a small saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for 5 minutes.
  11. Serve the sliders warm with the au jus on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • Substitute Swiss cheese with provolone or mozzarella if desired.
  • Use Hawaiian rolls for a sweeter flavor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days and reheat before serving.
