Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 oz spaghetti or linguine
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  • Cook pasta in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, drain, and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté garlic until fragrant. Add red pepper flakes, white wine (or chicken broth), and lemon juice. Simmer for 3-4 minutes.
  • Toss the cooked pasta into the sauce, adding reserved pasta water if needed to loosen.
  • Return shrimp to the skillet and mix well.
  • Serve topped with Parmesan cheese and garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • Use gluten-free pasta if needed.
  • Add spinach or cherry tomatoes for extra flavor.
  • Substitute wine with more broth if preferred.
