Garlic Butter Shrimp Scampi is a delicious seafood dish featuring succulent shrimp sautéed in a rich garlic butter sauce with a touch of lemon and white wine. Perfectly served over pasta or with crusty bread, this quick and easy meal is bursting with flavor and ready in just minutes!

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 8 oz linguine or spaghetti (optional)
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • ½ cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions if using. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet, heat olive oil and 2 tbsp butter over medium heat.
  • Add garlic and red pepper flakes, sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  • Add shrimp, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 1-2 minutes per side until pink.
  • Pour in white wine and lemon juice, simmer for 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
  • Stir in remaining butter and parsley, then toss with pasta if using.
  • Serve immediately, garnished with Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

  • Substitute white wine with chicken broth for a non-alcoholic version.
  • Serve over zucchini noodles or cauliflower rice for a low-carb option.
  • Adjust spice level by adding more or less red pepper flakes.
