  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken
  • 3 cups cooked pasta (penne or rotini)
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Stir in flour to make a roux and cook for 1 minute. Gradually whisk in milk and chicken broth, stirring until smooth.
  4. Add Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Continue cooking until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese and half the mozzarella until melted and combined.
  6. In a greased 9x13-inch casserole dish, combine the cooked pasta, shredded chicken, and the garlic Parmesan sauce. Mix well.
