Hoisin Beef Noodles Recipe: This Asian-inspired dish combines tender beef sirloin with rice or egg noodles, fresh vegetables, and a flavorful sauce featuring hoisin, soy, and oyster sauces. Perfect for a quick and delicious meal.

For the Beef Marinade:

  • 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced

For the Noodles and Sauce:

  • 8 oz (225g) rice noodles or egg noodles
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/2 cup beef broth

For the Stir-Fry:

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • Sesame seeds and chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the Beef:
    • In a bowl, combine beef sirloin, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, cornstarch, minced garlic, and ginger. Mix well and let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Prepare the Noodles and Sauce:
    • Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
    • In a separate bowl, mix hoisin sauce, soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and beef broth. Set aside.
  3. Stir-Fry:
    • Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
    • Add the marinated beef and stir-fry until browned. Remove from the pan and set aside.
    • In the same pan, add bell pepper, broccoli, carrot, and onion. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are tender.
    • Add green onions, garlic, and ginger. Stir-fry for another minute.
    • Return the beef to the pan and pour in the prepared sauce. Mix well to combine.
    • Add the cooked noodles and toss everything together until well coated and heated through.
  4. Serve:
    • Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped cilantro before serving.

 

Notes

  • You can substitute beef sirloin with chicken or tofu for a different variation.
  • Adjust the amount of hoisin and soy sauce to taste.
