2 cups water
2 black tea bags (or 2 tsp loose black tea)
1/2 cup pitted cherries (fresh or frozen)
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cardamom
1/4 tsp ground ginger
2โ3 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
1 cup cold water
Ice cubes
Fresh cherries and mint for garnish (optional)
In a saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil.
Add tea bags, cherries, cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and steep for another 5โ10 minutes.
Strain the tea into a pitcher and stir in sweetener if using.
