Marry Me Chicken Tortellini is a creamy and flavorful dish featuring tender chicken breasts, cheese tortellini, and a rich sauce made with sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, heavy cream, and Parmesan. Perfect for a satisfying and quick weeknight meal!

  • 1 lb (450 g) boneless, skinless chicken breasts (thinly sliced or pounded)
  • 9 oz (250 g) cheese tortellini (fresh or store-bought)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes (packed in oil, drained and sliced)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth (or more as needed)
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil or parsley, chopped (for garnish)

For the Creamy Sauce:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Sear the chicken until golden and cooked through, then remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, add garlic and sun-dried tomatoes. Sautรฉ until fragrant.
  3. Add Italian seasoning, red pepper flakes, heavy cream, chicken broth, and Parmesan. Stir and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Cook tortellini according to package instructions, then drain.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet and combine with sauce. Add cooked tortellini and toss everything together.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh basil or parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust the consistency of the sauce with additional chicken broth if needed.
  • For added heat, increase red pepper flakes.
  • Serve with crusty bread to soak up the creamy sauce.
