- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 1 small onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 container (16 oz) ricotta cheese
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1 egg
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a skillet, cook ground beef, sausage, and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in garlic, marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta, cream cheese, and egg until smooth.
- Layer lasagna: Spread some meat sauce in the baking dish, add noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella. Repeat layers.
- Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
- Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
