  • 12 lasagna noodles, cooked
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ยฝ tsp salt
  • ยฝ tsp black pepper
  • 1 container (16 oz) ricotta cheese
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

  • ยฝ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef, sausage, and onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in garlic, marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • In a bowl, mix ricotta, cream cheese, and egg until smooth.
  • Layer lasagna: Spread some meat sauce in the baking dish, add noodles, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella. Repeat layers.
  • Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  • Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
