  • 3 cups cooked, mashed sweet potatoes
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup milk

Topping Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/3 cup melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease a baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, mix sweet potatoes, sugar, melted butter, eggs, vanilla, and milk. Pour into the prepared baking dish.
  3. For the topping, combine brown sugar, flour, pecans, and melted butter in a separate bowl. Mix well.
  4. Sprinkle the topping mixture evenly over the sweet potato layer.
  5. Bake for 30 minutes, or until the topping is golden and the casserole is set.
  6. Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, and serve warm.

Notes

  • For a less sweet version, reduce sugar in the filling to 3/4 cup.
  • Can be prepared a day ahead and baked just before serving.
