  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream

  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC). Grease and flour a 9-inch round cake pan.

  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.

  3. In a separate large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.

  4. Beat in eggs one at a time, then add vanilla.

  5. Gradually add flour mixture alternating with milk, beginning and ending with flour.

  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and bake for 30โ€“35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  7. Cool cake completely.

  8. Whip cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
