Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced or shredded
  • 1/2 cup pesto sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • 12 soft slider buns or dinner rolls
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing buns)
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • Tomato slices (optional, for extra flavor)

Instructions

  • Prepare Chicken: Season chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Cook in olive oil over medium heat until fully cooked, about 6-7 minutes per side. Slice for sliders.
  • Assemble Sliders: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place bottom buns on a baking sheet, add chicken, pesto, and mozzarella. Top with bun tops.
  • Bake: Brush tops with melted butter, sprinkle with Parmesan. Bake for 10-12 minutes until cheese melts and buns are golden.
  • Serve: Garnish with basil and tomato slices if desired. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For a spicy twist, add red pepper flakes to the pesto.
  • Opt for whole wheat buns for a healthier version.
