  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add diced onions, bell peppers, and garlic, and sautรฉ until soft, about 5 minutes. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, brown the ground beef (or sliced steak) over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  4. Stir in Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 more minutes.
  5. Add softened cream cheese to the beef mixture, stirring until fully incorporated.
  6. In a greased 9x13-inch baking dish, layer the beef mixture, then spread the sautรฉed peppers and onions on top.
  7. Sprinkle the provolone (or mozzarella) and cheddar cheeses evenly over the casserole.
  8. Bake uncovered for 20-25 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
