  • 1 cup (220g) brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 3 cups (360g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups (280g) M&M candies
  • 1/2 cup (90g) chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, cream together softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until combined.
  • Fold in the M&M candies and chocolate chips (if using).
  • Scoop cookie dough onto a lined baking sheet, leaving space between each cookie.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes, until the edges are golden and the centers are slightly soft.
  • Cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

  • For extra color, press a few M&Ms on top of each cookie dough ball before baking.
  • You can substitute mini M&Ms for regular ones for a fun variation.
