Ingredients

Scale

For the Sliders:

  • 12 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls work great)
  • 1 pound ground breakfast sausage
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large skillet, cook the ground breakfast sausage over medium heat until browned and cooked through. Drain any excess fat.
  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour the mixture into the skillet with the sausage and cook, stirring occasionally, until the eggs are scrambled and just set.
  • Slice the slider buns in half horizontally and place the bottom halves in a greased baking dish.
  • Spread the sausage and egg mixture evenly over the bottom halves of the buns.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese over the sausage and egg mixture.
  • Place the top halves of the slider buns over the cheese.
  • Brush the tops of the buns with melted butter.
  • Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops of the buns are golden brown.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley if desired, then serve warm.

Notes

  • Customize with your favorite cheeses or add veggies like bell peppers or spinach.
  • Serve with hot sauce or ketchup for added flavor.
