Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1/2 pound bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 large onion, finely diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 sandwich buns
  • Sliced cheddar cheese
  • Pickles, crispy onions, or jalapeños (optional)

Instructions

  • Cook bacon and crumble it. Set aside.
  • In a skillet, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • Add diced onion and garlic to the skillet. Sauté until softened.
  • Transfer beef mixture to a slow cooker. Add barbecue sauce, Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
  • Cook on low for 4-6 hours, or high for 2-3 hours.
  • Toast the sandwich buns and top them with the beef mixture.
