  • 4 cups mashed sweet potatoes (about 4 large sweet potatoes)
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

Pecan Topping:

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Optional Marshmallow Topping:

  • 1 1/2 cups mini marshmallows

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine mashed sweet potatoes, melted butter, sugar, milk, eggs, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Mix until smooth.
  • Pour the sweet potato mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar, flour, and softened butter until crumbly. Stir in chopped pecans. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the sweet potato layer.
  • Bake uncovered for 25 minutes.
  • If using marshmallows, sprinkle them on top and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes, or until golden and melted.
