  • 1 lb fresh or frozen green beans, trimmed
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 1/2 cups crispy fried onions
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
  2. Cook the green beans in boiling water for 3-4 minutes until tender but still crisp. Drain and set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the condensed cream of mushroom soup, milk, soy sauce, salt, and pepper. Stir in half of the crispy fried onions and green beans.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch baking dish.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oven, sprinkle the remaining crispy fried onions on top (and shredded cheddar cheese if using).
  7. Bake for another 5-10 minutes, or until the onions are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
