  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook diced bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and set aside, leaving 1 tablespoon of bacon fat in the pot.
  2. Add butter to the pot and sauté onions and garlic until softened.
  3. Stir in flour to make a roux, cooking for 1-2 minutes.
