Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Patty:
    • 1 pound 80/20 ground beef
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
    • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • For the Whiskey Glaze:
    • 1/4 cup whiskey
    • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
    • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • For the Whiskey Sauce:
    • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
    • 2 tablespoons ketchup
    • 1 tablespoon whiskey
    • 1 teaspoon mustard
    • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
    • 1/4 teaspoon salt
    • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • For the Toppings:
    • 4 slices cheddar cheese
    • 8 slices bacon, cooked until crispy
    • 1 large onion, thinly sliced and caramelized
    • 4 large lettuce leaves
    • 1 large tomato, sliced
    • Sliced pickles
    • 4 brioche buns, toasted

Instructions

  • Prepare the Patties:
    • In a bowl, combine ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently and form into 4 patties.
  • Make the Whiskey Glaze:
    • In a small saucepan, combine whiskey, brown sugar, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and minced garlic. Simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
  • Cook the Patties:
    • Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, brushing with whiskey glaze during cooking. Set aside and keep warm.
  • Prepare the Whiskey Sauce:
    • In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, whiskey, mustard, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  • Assemble the Burgers:
    • Spread whiskey sauce on the bottom half of each toasted brioche bun. Top with lettuce, a beef patty, cheddar cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, tomato slices, and pickles. Cover with the top half of the bun.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, let the patties marinate in the seasoning for 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Adjust the whiskey in the glaze and sauce to taste.
