This classic Beef and Broccoli recipe combines tender beef, fresh broccoli, and a flavorful sauce for a quick and delicious meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb beef (flank steak or sirloin), thinly sliced
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • Optional: sesame seeds and green onions for garnish

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and beef broth to make the sauce. Set aside.
  • Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Sear beef slices until browned, then remove and set aside.
  • Add garlic and ginger to the skillet, cooking until fragrant. Add broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes.
  • Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the sauce. Stir and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is coated.
  • Serve hot over rice or noodles. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions if desired.

Notes

  • Slice beef thinly against the grain for maximum tenderness.
  • Blanch broccoli in boiling water for 1 minute before stir-frying for brighter color and quicker cooking.
