  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup ketchup

For the Glaze:

  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, eggs, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  4. In a small bowl, mix ketchup, brown sugar, and Dijon mustard to make the glaze.
  5. Spread half of the glaze over the meatloaf.
  6. Bake for 40 minutes, then spread the remaining glaze on top.
  7. Bake for another 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160ยฐF (71ยฐC).
  8. Let the meatloaf rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving.
