Philly cheese steak sliders are a delicious twist on the classic sandwich. Packed with tender steak, gooey cheese, and caramelized onions, these sliders are the perfect appetizer or dinner idea. Great for parties, game days, or a quick meal!

  • 12 slider buns
  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef steak (ribeye or sirloin)
  • 1 green bell pepper (sliced)
  • 1 yellow onion (sliced)
  • 6 slices provolone cheese (halved)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC).
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sautรฉ the onions and bell pepper until softened, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add thinly sliced steak to the skillet. Cook until browned, about 3โ€“5 minutes. Season with garlic powder and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Slice the slider buns in half and place the bottom halves in a greased baking dish.
  5. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom buns.
  6. Layer the cooked steak mixture and provolone cheese on top.
  7. Cover with the top buns.
  8. Brush melted butter over the buns and sprinkle with sesame seeds (if using).
  9. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  10. Remove foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until cheese is melted and buns are golden.
  11. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Swap provolone cheese with mozzarella or American cheese if preferred.
  • Use slider rolls or Hawaiian rolls for a sweeter flavor.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
